Sei-Ki: Life in Resonance, the Secret Art of Shiatsu
The therapeutic art of Shiatsu is now widely practised in the West, yet practitioners find it difficult to acquire the training that will take them beyond the mechanistic level.
For many years Akinobu Kishi had been visiting the West to teach, but never before has his approach been recorded in book form. Click to purchase
I have been a Shiatsu Therapist for many years and have read many different books and thoughts on the practice and theory of shiatsu and natural medicine. This one has found its place at the top of my book list! I can understand some may find it challenges the thought processing of it all but for myself it has given me clarification and a deeper understanding of how I work and how I can further expand it. Loved it! Sarah Walker
Mind Clearing: the key to mindfulness mastery. by Alice Whieldon with foreword by Lawrence Noyes, Singing Dragon 2016.
This is the first book ever written about Mind Clearing, the counselling style work associated with the Enlightenment Intensive. It offers a model of the mind in line with Patanjali's famous Yoga Sutra, the levels of the mind and the Mind Clearing approach to dismantling the mind.
It links the work with mindfulness and is a guide to taking the next step into more fulfilling communication and relationships. Click to purchase
Alice has a sharp sense of the relationship between communicative techniques the will and somatic reality. On this basis we learn how mind clearing works and its power and limitations. There on the basis of theory lies a hint at what is beyond clearing ie practices of non doing. Mark Nichols
If you are interested in helping yourself or helping others to cease 'moving the chairs' in the prison that is our mind, I strongly recommend that you read this book. Alice thoroughly theoretically understands and actively practices the wisdom sought, attained and passed down a 'lineage' that Charles Berner is a central figure of. With this book and her work, Alice demonstrates that she is also part of this lineage. I am familiar with and have had major benefit from some of the secular techniques she has outlined (through Enlightenment Intensives and Relationship Dyads here in Australia). 'Pondering the Opposites' though is new to me and I'm looking forward to using it! Many Thanks. Robert Baohm
